Process

  • Obtain consent of proposed director (Form DIR-2)
  • Obtain Digital Signature Certificate (DSC)
  • Apply for Director Identification Number (DIN)
  • Collect KYC documents and educational qualifications
  • File Form DIR-12 with ROC within 30 days

Director Limits

  • Private Limited Company: Minimum 2, Maximum 15 directors
  • Public Limited Company: Minimum 3 directors
  • One Person Company: Minimum 1 director
  • At least one director must be resident in India (182+ days)
